The KCO-3348-1x8SC Mini Aerial Optic Fiber Splice Closure (FOSC) is a multifunctional fiber splice enclosure designed for fiber connection, branching, and terminal connection. It is suitable for use with 1×8 splitters and SC/UPC or SC/APC adapters.

Constructed from high-quality strengthened polymer plastic with a mechanical sealing structure, this aerial fiber optic splice closure can be reopened and reused without changing the sealing material or requiring special tools. It is designed for wall-mounting, aerial, and pole-mounting applications, and is especially suited for FTTH fiber distribution.

The enclosure features 6 cable ports, each capable of supporting 3 inputs and 3 outputs, providing flexible configuration for a wide range of network deployments.

• Tensile Strength: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa, the box body can withstand 1000 N axial tension for 1 minute with no change in air pressure.
• Flattening Resistance: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa, the box body can bear a horizontal uniform pressure of 2000 N/10 cm. The pipe can withstand 600 N/10 cm without air pressure change.
• Impact Resistance: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa, a 1 kg steel ball dropped from 1.6 m onto the box three times causes no cracking and no pressure change.
• Bending Resistance: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa, with a tension load of 150 N and a bending angle of ±45° over 10 cycles, there is no change in air pressure.
• Torsion Resistance: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa, with a torque of 50 N·m and a torsion angle of +90° over 10 cycles, there is no change in air pressure.
• Sealing Performance: At a gas pressure of 100 kPa ± 5 kPa, water bath soak for 15 minutes shows no bubbles escaping; no change after 24 hours under pressure.
• Insulation Resistance: At a water depth of 1.5 m after 24 hours of soaking, insulation resistance ≥ 2 × 10⁴ MΩ.
• Voltage Resistance: At a water depth of 1.5 m after 24 hours of soaking, 15 kV DC for 1 minute with no breakdown and no arcing phenomenon.
• High-Temperature Test: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa at +60 °C for 2 hours, the box shows no deformation and no leakage.
• Low-Temperature Test: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa at −40 °C for 2 hours, the box shows no deformation and no leakage.
• Temperature Cycle Test: After sealing and inflating to 60 kPa ± 5 kPa, with each point at −40 °C held constant for 2 hours over three cycles, the pressure drop amplitude is ≤ 5 kPa.
