  • It provides a known reference spool of fiber that shifts the OTDR’s initial dead zone completely into the launch box, allowing the technician to accurately measure the insertion loss and reflectance of the first near-end connector pair.
  • 20 km G.657A1 OTDR Optical Fiber Launch Cable Reel is an ultra-long fiber delay line typically used for long-haul link simulation, equipment calibration, and pulse suppression when analyzing long-distance trunks with wide pulse widths.
  • Winding 20km of continuous glass into a compact portable case creates high structural tension and micro-bending risk.
