Single Mode vs Multimode Cables
Single Mode: Features a small diametral core allowing only one mode of light propagation, reducing attenuation for longer distance transmission. Ideal for Telcos, CATV companies, and educational institutions.
Multimode: Features a large diametral core allowing multiple light modes, enabling higher data throughput over shorter distances. Common in LANs for data and audio/video applications.
