DVP 740 ARC Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer Electrode Stick Chamber Electrical
Kocent Optec Limited supplies a comprehensive range of electrodes for all types of fiber optic fusion splicing machines. Our electrodes ensure optimal performance and reliability for your splicing equipment.
Electrode Replacement Procedure
  • Ensure the welding machine is powered off, remove the electrode chamber protection cover, loosen the fixing screw, and carefully remove the electrodes
  • Loosen the top electrode screw and remove the electrode assembly
  • Install the new electrode following the reverse procedure of removal
  • Maintain electrode tip clearance at 2.6 ± 0.2 mm for optimal performance
Important: Avoid touching electrode tips during assembly to prevent damage. Always perform arc position calibration after electrode replacement.
Electrode Cleaning and Arc Calibration
  • After electrode installation, power on the welding machine
  • Access the main menu from the initial screen
  • Navigate to machine maintenance and select electrode cleaning - the machine will automatically perform discharge cleaning and electrode aging
  • Install chopped fiber left/right, locate arc position, and align fiber end face with electrode tips in a three-point line configuration
  • The machine will perform discharge testing - adjust as needed based on actual conditions
  • Exit menu following the proper sequence
