SC Connector Details
The SC connector is one of the most commonly used fiber connectors, available in SC APC and SC UPC polishing types. SC stands for Subscriber Connector (also called Square Connector or Standard Connector), featuring snap coupling with a 2.5mm diameter ferrule, ideal for single mode duplex systems due to its high performance and precise alignment.
OM4 Fiber Technology
OM4 is a laser-optimized 50μm fiber with 4.7GHz*km EMB bandwidth, designed for 10Gb/s, 40Gb/s, and 100Gb/s transmission. Backward compatible with OM3 fiber, OM4 extends 10G link distances up to 550 meters (compared to OM3's 300m) and features a distinctive aqua jacket.

Both OM3 and OM4 are graded-index multimode fiber optic cables, but OM4 offers superior performance with 4700 MHz bandwidth versus OM3's 2500 MHz. OM4 is among the fastest fiber optic cables available, meeting TIA/EIA and IEEE 802.3ba 40G/100G Ethernet standards.
