Product Overview
The Female-to-Male MPO/MTP Optical Attenuator is engineered for 40G/100G parallel optical transmission systems, providing uniform attenuation across all channels in a single, compact module. Unlike conventional approaches that require multiple independent attenuators per channel, this integrated solution dramatically simplifies network design and reduces installation time.
Available in 8-fiber, 12-fiber, 16-fiber, 24-fiber, and 32-fiber configurations with customer-specified pinout options, the attenuator supports a wide attenuation range of 0–25 dB. It delivers fast, efficient testing of transmit performance and receiver sensitivity in optical network devices, offering more accurate and broader-range performance than comparable products.
The build-out style attenuator is a small male-female adapter that can be added to existing cables, making it suitable for both permanent and temporary installations. It meets TIA/EIA 604-5 and IEC 61754-7 standards and is fully RoHS compliant.
