- MPO To DLC / MTP 8F to LC Duplex Uni-boot Optical Fiber Break-out Fan-out Patch Cord is fiber optic patch cord that the main cable is 8f micro cable.
- The patch cable one side comes with MPO-8 or MTP-8 APC polishing type and an other side comes with LC duplex uni-boot connector (normally is LC/UPC type).
- Same as MPO / MTP trunk cable, the MPO-8 / MTP-8 to LC duplex uni-boot fiber optical break-out cables have 3 type of connection method. They are type A (trainght through), type B (cross connect), type C (cross pair).
- The LC duplex uniboot connectors are compact fiber optic plug that combines two fibers into a single boot. It allows a single cable to carry both transmit and receive signals, cutting the bulk of traditional duplex patching in half. It feature save space, easy polarity reversal and easy to arange the cable.
- The LC Uniboot Connector: Uses one round cable containing both fibers. Both share a single boot.

MPO To DLC MTP 8F to LC Duplex Uni-boot Optical Fiber Break-out Fan-out Patch Cord Polarity
- 1. Type A (Straight-Through): Key down to Key down
Fiber Mapping: Fiber 1 to Fiber 1 (LC), Fiber 2 to Fiber 2, and so on.
How it works: Because this maintains a straight-through path, the Tx → Rx flip must happen somewhere else in the network. To complete the circuit, you must use a standard A-to-B (Crossover) LC duplex patch cord at one end (e.g., at the switch/transceiver).
- 2. Type B (Cross Connect): Key up to Key up
Fiber Mapping: Fiber 1 to Fiber 12 (LC), Fiber 2 connects to Fiber 11, and so on.
How it works: This creates an inherent flip within the cable itself. Because of this internal reversal, you must use a Straight-Through A-to-A LC patch cord to maintain the correct Tx → Rx orientation.
- 3. Type C (Cross Pair-Flipped): Key down to Key down
Fiber Mapping: Fiber 1 to Fiber 2 (LC), Fiber 2 to Fiber 1, Fiber 3 to Fiber 4, Fiber 4 to Fiber 3 and so on.
How it works: The pair-flip naturally maps Tx to Rx from end to end, making it ideal for connecting directly to duplex LC uniboot equipment without needing any special crossover patch cords.

- Port Splitting (40G/100G to 10G/25G): You can plug the MPO end into a single high-speed transceiver (like a QSFP+, QSFP28) on a core switch. The LC uniboot ends then plug into individual lower-speed servers or switches.
- Consolidating Cable Clutter: It aggregates multiple standard LC patch panels into a single MPO trunk cable. This cuts down on cable mass and opens up airflow inside crowded server racks.
- Direct Equipment-to-Panel Connections: It easily links backbone high-density fiber paths directly to localized standard LC hardware edges.
