I was surprised when i made first order with Kocent Optec Limited in 2014. One container 40GP of GYXTW cable and one container 20GP for fast connector, patch cord and adapter. They finished this order in 2 weeks only. Now we also purchase many type of FDB box and Splice Closure Box from them. Hope we will be stronger and stronger in telecom field.

Product Description
Product Overview

GYTC8A Fig-8 Self-supporting Aerial Single Mode Outdoor Optical Fiber Cable (2–144 Cores, High Tension)

The GYTC8A is an outdoor, figure-8, self-supporting aerial fiber optic cable. It uses single-mode fibers (typically G.652D / G.657) housed in stranded loose tubes, protected by an aluminum-laminate moisture barrier and an integrated steel messenger.

Its integrated "8" cross-section unites the optical transmission unit and the high-tensile galvanized steel messenger within one continuous PE outer sheath, making it a cost-efficient, high-reliability workhorse for global telecom aerial network construction.

The GYTC8A Figure-8 Aerial Outdoor cable supports capacities from 2 fibers up to 144 fibers.

It is widely used for outdoor aerial interconnection between data center buildings, industrial park high-speed 40G/100G backbone aerial links, campus cross-building high-speed network access, and outdoor high-definition monitoring network backhaul scenarios that require high mechanical protection and high-speed transmission.

Model Designation: What "GYTC8A" Means
  • G — Outdoor communication optical cable
  • Y — Stranded PBT loose tubes, gel-filled
  • T — Self-supporting
  • 8 — Figure-8 cross-section
  • A — APL (aluminum-polyethylene laminate) moisture barrier
Production Standard

The cable strictly conforms to IEC 60793-2-10.

Cable Structure
  1. 250 µm fibers in PBT loose tubes with water-blocking jelly.
  2. Loose tubes and fillers stranded around a central steel strength member.
  3. Cable core wrapped with APL tape (moisture/oxygen barrier).
  4. Fiber lobe and stranded steel messenger wire molded into one PE figure-8 sheath.
  5. No separate messenger strand required.

Fiber Characteristics
Characteristic Category Specific Parameters & Details
Core Structure Core diameter: 8–10 μm (standard 9 μm); cladding diameter: 125 μm; typical specification: 9/125 μm step-index structure.
Transmission Mode Only the fundamental mode propagates; normalized frequency V < 2.405, all higher-order modes are cut off, completely eliminating inter-mode dispersion.
Working Wavelength Band Covers the 1260–1625 nm full transmission window; zero-water-peak G.652.D fiber removes the OH⁻ absorption peak at 1383 nm, making full use of all low-loss bands.
Attenuation Performance Ultra-low loss at the 1550 nm window: typical value 0.2 dB/km, far lower than multimode fiber's ~3 dB/km at 850 nm.
Dispersion Performance Standard G.652 fiber has zero dispersion near 1310 nm; total dispersion at 1550 nm is only ~17 ps/(nm·km), with no modal dispersion interference.
Bandwidth Capacity Theoretical bandwidth > 100 GHz·km; supports C+L band DWDM wavelength division multiplexing, with single-fiber total capacity up to tens of Tbps and single-wavelength rates up to 400 Gbps.
Supported Light Source Requires narrow-linewidth, high-stability laser diodes (LDs) at 1310/1550 nm; linewidth < 2 nm, high directional coherence.
Maximum Transmission Distance No relay amplification required for over 100 km; with EDFA optical amplifiers, supports thousands of kilometers of ultra-long-haul transmission.
Common ITU-T Standards G.652 (most widely used standard), G.653 (dispersion-shifted), G.655 (non-zero dispersion-shifted), G.657 (bend-insensitive).
Engineering Features Yellow fiber jacket, blue connector; minimum bending radius of G.657 fiber as low as 10 mm, suitable for FTTH narrow-space wiring.
Typical Application Scenarios Telecom backbone networks, cross-sea submarine cables, 5G fronthaul/backhaul, data center interconnection (DCI), long-distance CATV signal transmission.
Cost Characteristics Mature fiber manufacturing process with stable cost; supporting laser optical modules and precision fusion splicing equipment are relatively expensive.
