Product Overview
Mode condition fiber optic patch cable is a duplex multimode cord featuring a small length of single-mode fiber at the transmission start. This design enables laser signals to launch into the single-mode section, then couple to the multimode fiber with core offset for optimal performance.
Key Applications
Mode conditioning patch cords are typically used in pairs, with one cord required at each end to connect equipment to the cable plant. These cables are essential where Gigabit 1000 Base-LX routers and switches are installed into existing multimode cable plants.
