    Mr Pablo
I was surprised when i made first order with Kocent Optec Limited in 2014. One container 40GP of GYXTW cable and one container 20GP for fast connector, patch cord and adapter. They finished this order in 2 weeks only. Now we also purchase many type of FDB box and Splice Closure Box from them. Hope we will be stronger and stronger in telecom field.

Product Description
Product Overview

The GYTC8Y Figure-8 Aerial Optical Fiber Cable is a classic metallic-strength, self-supporting loose-tube outdoor figure-8 fiber optic cable. It is widely deployed for direct aerial installation without requiring a separate messenger wire.

This specialized outdoor self-supporting figure-8 multimode aerial cable combines laser-optimized OM3 50/125µm multimode fiber with the mature GYTC8Y integrated 8-shaped aerial structure.

Its integrated “8” cross-section unites the optical transmission unit and the high-tensile galvanized steel messenger in one continuous HDPE outer sheath, making it a cost-efficient, high-reliability workhorse for global telecom aerial network construction.

Cable capacity ranges from 2 fibers up to 288 fibers. It eliminates the need for separate messenger wire deployment, delivering high-speed short-range transmission performance and robust outdoor environmental adaptability for cross-building high-speed network interconnection scenarios.

Production Standard

This cable strictly conforms to mainstream global industry specifications, including YD/T 1155, GB/T 13993, YD/T 901-2018 and the international IEC 60794-1 series standards, ensuring full interoperability with global mainstream fiber network systems.

GYTC8Y Fiber Optic Aerial Cable Structure
1. Innermost Optical Unit
  • Optical Fibers: 2–288 fibers (OM3 multimode) with 250µm UV-cured dual coating, color-coded per TIA-598-A standard for easy identification.
  • Loose Tubes: Fibers are housed in high-modulus hydrolysis-resistant PBT loose tubes, each holding up to 12 fibers. The tubes are fully filled with thixotropic water-blocking gel to isolate fibers from moisture and buffer mechanical stress.
  • Filler Ropes: When the number of loose tubes is insufficient to form a full circular stranding layer, high-tensile non-hygroscopic filler ropes are added to maintain the roundness of the stranded cable core.
2. Cable Core Layer
  • Central Metallic Strength Member: A solid galvanized steel wire runs through the geometric center of the stranded cable core, providing the core tensile rigidity for the entire optical transmission unit and preventing fiber strain under long-term aerial tension.
  • S-Z Stranding Layer: All loose tubes and filler ropes are stranded around the central strength member using optimized S-Z reverse stranding technology, reserving sufficient fiber redundancy to ensure no extra strain is applied to fibers during bending or tension.
  • Full Water-blocking System: Water-blocking yarn is laid between the stranded layers, and a full-section water-blocking tape wraps the entire stranded core, stopping any longitudinal water migration inside the cable.
  • Longitudinal APL Moisture Barrier: A thin layer of aluminum-polyethylene (APL) laminated tape is longitudinally wrapped around the water-blocking tape, forming a sealed metal barrier to block lateral moisture ingress and further enhance the cable’s moisture resistance.
3. Integrated Figure-8 Outer Sheath
  • Upper Load-bearing Unit: A high-strength 1.7–3.5 mm diameter galvanized steel messenger wire is embedded in the upper “circular loop” of the 8-shaped profile. It bears 100% of the suspension tensile load during aerial deployment, with long-term allowable tensile force up to 1500 N and short-term peak tensile force reaching 5000 N.
  • Lower Optical Unit Sheath: The APL-wrapped cable core is fully encapsulated in the lower “circular loop” of the 8-shaped profile, with the sheath tightly bonded to the APL layer to form a reliable moisture-sealed structure.
  • Integrated HDPE Outer Sheath: The upper steel messenger and lower cable core are co-extruded into one continuous black high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheath, mixed with UV stabilizers and anti-aging additives. The sheath thickness is strictly controlled to meet outdoor long-term weather resistance requirements, with typical overall dimensions ranging from 8.0×14.9 mm (2–30 cores) to 13.5×20.8 mm (144 cores).
