An enclosure on a rooftop can pass 80 Celsius in summer and drop below freezing at night, and that cycle is what hardens a cheap jacket and pulls a ribbon out of alignment. This 16 fiber assembly is built for that duty: the jacket compound is thermal aged for 168 hours and the assembly is chamber verified across a wide temperature range from -40 to 85 Celsius with loss measured at both ends of the swing. Aramid yarn runs the full length as the strength member, so a pull on the cord transfers to the yarn instead of the 16 fibers. Every wide temperature MPO MTP patch cord is also checked for jacket shrinkage, because a jacket that retracts inside a boot exposes the ribbon at exactly the moment the enclosure heats up.

Our engineers have built environmental assemblies for utility and telecom outdoor projects since 2011, and the plant runs an in house thermal chamber rather than relying on supplier data sheets. Where a project specifies an extended range beyond 85 Celsius, the design is reviewed before an order is accepted.

Assembly drawings, insertion loss records and end face images are available before shipment. Custom fiber counts, leg lengths, polarity and jacket colours are confirmed in writing before production.
